Near the Village of Lomond in Vulcan County, Alberta

495 MW

EQUIPMENT TYPE & SIZE:

83 turbine locations utilizing a combination of Siemens Gamesa turbines:

  • 45 SG 6.6-170 (6.6 MW) turbines with 110.5 meter hub height and 170 meter blade rotor diameter, and

  • 38 SG 5.0-145 (5.2 MW) turbines with 95.5 meter hub height and 145 meter blade rotor diameter

ANNUAL ELECTRICITY PRODUCTION:

Capable of generating approximately 1,500 GWh of electricity per year, enough to power over 200,000 homes

JOB CREATION:

Approximately 300 jobs during the project’s construction phase

PROPERTY TAX PAYMENTS:

Over CAD 4 million per year expected in property taxes to Vulcan County

FOOTPRINT:

Approximately 17,500 acres of privately-owned land under long term agreements with the project

Approximately 250 acres with permanent project equipment
